FnO Play was India’s first exclusively Futures & Options trading application whose tagline is “Anyone Can Trade” and brand promise - Futures & Options has been simplified so much that anyone who is legally allowed to trade and has access to a smartphone, can do so.
The application is built on a robust risk management system that safeguards traders from the pitfalls of unlimited losses and overtrading.
However, downloads and retention were low.
We found that the target audience were not able to relate to FnO Play because:
- The name “FnO” was not familiar to novice traders or perceived as complex and highly risky.
- The addition of “Play” to the name was being rejected for trivializing a complex trading instrument and making it seem frivolous.
- The font usage and lack of information on the website created mistrust.
